What they really mean, as Ben Spiker on Twitter said, is “Stop existing.”

“Stop resisting” is the catchall phrase that cops use to justify murdering people. They say it as reflex and they say it at the scene so when they’re in court, they could explain to the jury how they murdered you because you “resisted.”
