The whole Affirmative Action debate really pisses me off.
- Affirmative Action isn’t based solely on race.
- White women benefit more from AA than people of color.
- AA doesn’t mean that schools have to accept applicants who are wholly unqualified on the basis of their race.
- I’d hope that Becky is getting A’s if her parents have thousands and thousands of dollars to spend on the best schools, the best tutors, etc. IMO, the kid who got slightly lower grades, but had to persevere because their school is underfunded or because the parents couldn’t afford school supplies, much less tutors, or who had to ignore the voices saying that all they would amount to is a baby mama or a gangbanger is significantly more impressive.
